I have a 02 F-350 7.3L diesel and i just got a new banks EGT guage, just wondering if it matters which manifold the probe has to be put in, does it matter if its in the pass or drivers side.
If you put it in the driver's side you'll be much closer to the entry-ways into the cab (either through the floor or the firewall) and closer to your gauges.

By the way, if you go to the 99-03 7.3L diesel forum, at the very beginning there is a sticky post which has links to Common Mods, where you'll find pics for gauge installs....
