Fried something... wiring problem?

I disconnected my battery today but when I did I mistakenly disconnected the positive cable first and when i did I heard a sizzling sound. I reconnected the battery went to start my 84 XLT, the buzz from the door being open was going off when I went to turn her over NOTHING the buzz stopped and the motor made no attempt to turn... what did I do? My wiring has been stripped down, I have no sterio, ac I had a tac but that is disconnected also it's really just the basics. Any suggestions where to start troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated.

What happens when you take a jumper cable and connect point #3 to point #6 in the diagram above? MAKE SURE THE TRANNY IS IN NEUTRAL OR PARK BEFORE DOING THIS
