I have growen up around fords all my life, infact my family has had nothing but fords since I was born. When I got my license I just carried on the tradition. This fall at work I have been doing a lot a road work. My service truck is a 2002 chev 2500 with a 6.0l gas. My biggest complaint is the seats, they are the most unconfortable of any vehical I have ever road in. It also doesn't turn as sharp as my ford and its only a 2wd. It is not very good on gas, but it is loaded down quite a bit. The truck has only 125,000. km on it, the check engine light has been on all harvest, but as long as it drives we don't have time to fix it.There are some other issues I have with it but I won't bore you. We also have three 1997 ford f-150's with 350,000 to 400,000 km's on them and they all have had nothing done to there drive trains (4.6l's), and you Know service trucks are never driven easy!!!!. I Would Never Trade My Ford For This Style Chevy!!!
I grew up around fords too, but I have driven them all. To be honest I am a vehicle lover, and I do like all sorts. I stuck mainly with fords because of reliability, which I havent found in another company!
Yeah im kind of like Preppypyro i have been to into vehicles since i have been little and like all sorts especially classic cars and muscle cars but iam crazy about Ford trucks before i was more into cars than trucks but now im into both and still getting into more
Ever since i was a wee lad i always liked ford trucks. i guess i grew up in ford country. it seemed every old farmer had a 1979 or older for truck whether it be a 1/2 ton or a grain truck. i always wanted to get a 71 or 72 ranger xlt. i like other vechiles as well like super bees and gtos. but my current daily driver is my 95 toyota 4runner 4x4. i like it. i know this doesn't sound good but i have 4 FORD 4x4's to make up for it.
Dialy drivers are important, but you can go too far. My '96 Geo has 275,000 and is still going, but I pray for suicidal deer every morning on the way to work. No aswers yet on that one, Nuts! A little Ranger Diesel would be awesome! Oh well........
Welcome to the Mayhem Skidooman.
One of the first vehicles I was allowed to drive, (in 1958, age 14,) was a 1928 Ford pickup that was used by the volunteer fire dept. It was parked by the road with gear for fighting forest fires and I would jump in when I got the call and pick up as many neighbors as could hang on and drive it to the scene of the fire. (no lights, no siren.)
The first car I owned was a 1934 Ford tudor. (all time favorite too.)
Next was a 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 convertible. (want that one back!)
1960 Ford Starliner. (I need that car back!)
I could go on, but that's basically how I got hooked on Fords.
Wow Bdox, what a nice array of Fords. I had a 57 ford convertible and ya I would like that one back, also had a red 60 Starliner. My first car was a 60 Ford 4 dr and abunch of 55/56 Victorias including a 55 Meteor Crown Vic. Now I`m into old Ford/Mercury trucks along with afew 60`s Mustangs and a Model T Touring hotrod.
Skidooman, REMOVE TO TOW CHEVS is way cool.
