I have a 65 250 352 c-6.I have located a 75 f250 with disc brakes,no power steering though.I have read what is available on the disc brake conversions but haven't been able to find much on the 250 series. Is this pretty much a bolt on operation?I would prefer to chnage just the spindles ala Ddavid, but I'm not sure the kingpins are the same size.If I have to change the I beams over are they the same as the 65 ones?I dont want to haul this thing home and find out it wont work. What should I look for on the 75?Will the steering wheel and tailgate fit my truck?Any info will be helpful.

Joe, Is your C6 a retro fit? An auto installed in that truck would have been a C-O-M with a green dot on the selector.
Basically yes is the answer to your question, but if you would allow me to add my 2 cents worth, I would pass that donor over for one with power steering. The PS shouldn't add anymore to the cost of a donor and I enjoy mine a lot.
The last year the FE was offered was 76, so a 73-76 should be a good donor source.
The c-6 was a retrofit, just had it rebuilt, apparantly it came from a 427 cobra. It shfts very crisply to say the kleast.I have a bendex power steering unit in it that works well but leaks.Thanx for the reply,I'm more concerned about the brakes being a bolt on proposition.

The whole I-beam should work IF the beam angle is the same. I explain how to do the measurement on my how-to site, but you need to compare the measurements between what you have and what the donor has to be sure they are the same. If they match, then you can take the whole thing, I-beams and all. Try doing a spindle first, because IMO it's easier. If you find the kingpin is different then you still haven't lost much time...just move on to doing the whole I-beam.
king pins are the same size from 48 to 79 ford never changed them making a bolt on deal 1/2 ton to1/2 ton 3/4 to 3/4 and so had to watch 3/4 heavy duty they used 1 ton king pins
