I dont like the service engine soon light coming on and I would like to fix that. i know I need two pieces of rubber hose and a regulator but I dont understand about the wiring that I read about. if I just put in a regulator will that do any justice? can someone tell me what to do to install the map regulator (ie- what will I need and where it goes)
If so, look here for a kit. If you want to do it yourself, you can look at the install instructions and pretty much see what you need to get and where to put it.
there are two different kinds. there is a mechanical one that has been posted about above (i have one), and there is an electronic way to bypass some sensors, that i wouldn't trust as much as a mechanical one that directly regulates the actual medium you want to control.
