Ok you guy's now I have a good Question??? Master Tow or Road Master car dolly ??? What do i buy & why. Any body have an answer . Master tow, painted $1610. or $2599. Road Master, power coat. There has to be a dif. ??? isn't there!!!!!!!!!!
I believe "powder coating" is an electrostatic painting process that probably coats and wears better than your typical paint. But if you drop something heavy on it like a hammer or a steel bar, it will still chip and rust. Maybe gravel too, not sure.
Get one with brakes for the cheapest price possible. The only thing is some are expandable side to side and some have higher load ratings. Most of the cheap ones are 2" ***** and limited to 3k pound cars.

Don, I think I paid about $600.00 for mine a few years back. It doesn't have brakes. I can't imagine what would make one run $2600.00 either.
Get a Trading Post paper at your gas station, I see them advertised in there all of the time.
John , did i read not long ago about you & the ticker ? hope all is well. Im going up to New.Hamshire to buy a motor home & would like to tow back the Toyota van. trust me i will set behind the wheel of it & drive it back by myself if i can't find a good deal ! Some of the new dolly's, the wheel's on the dolly turn & the dolly will not pivit ? Freind has one . But he has more money than ME !!!
Don, I had my heart replumbed back around the first of June, all of the pipes were stopped up. All is much better now, thank you very much.
My dolly has a swivel deck, and is wide enough to pull Ford pickups. Why don't you look at a rental for this trip?
As long as the steering is not locked, I can't imagine why a non swivel dolly wouldn't work. What does a swivel deck add to the equation? It might allow sharper turns, or a little easier load if the rider wasn't coming on straight but other than that, where is it's value?
