i have picked up an 86 460 out of a f-350 motor home for a very good deal $125 for the whole thing with a 4 core rad, trans cooler,an edelbrock 750 and headers. I was woundering if this is a good motor like what kind of heads and what will wake it up for not a alot of money
Well you might want to put in a double roller or early model timing chain to get the cam timing straight up. (said both double roller and early model as it seems all the aftermarkiet double roller stuff has gone with one part number for both early and smog model engines)
Yes that one will work, Jegs still lists it as 68-71 but cloyes just says it's for all of them now. Basically cloyes and most of hte other companies that make the double roller timing chains figured out anyone wanting to go with a roller timing chain wants teh early set anyway so just make one part number for all of them.
