I have seen two around here in the last two months. Both were made in to yard trash hauling trailers and being pulled behind Chevy PU's. The sight was the epitome of desecration... sorry no help here.

Have you tried lmc for bedsides?I paid $107 for the 6' bedsides and the rear left bed corner .The only thing is the bedsides only cover the center of the sides. Its a complete bedside but its shrunk down a foot from top and bottom and about a foot and a half on each side. The only problem now is finding a good cheap welder to do the work.

if youre willing to drive a little i could put you in touch with some great junkyards down here where you could get a rust free box at a VERY reasonable price. i paid $350 total for the right to strip everything i wanted off a 76 sb, the only reason i didnt take the whole truck (original plan for $500) was because someone that didnt know it was sold got rid of the 9" rear before i could pick it up, so i had no way to tow it.
just a thought....

I Am Very Interested In The Junkyards Down Your Way. To Find A Good Bed I Would Drive 8 Or 10 Hrs. If You Could E Mail Me Some #s Of Scrap Yards In Your Area That Would Be Great.
Thanks

Buck,
I have a line on a totally rust free Arizona bed. PM me and Ill give you the guys number. The bed is in NC but expect to PAY. This guy is in the business of going out west and buying sheetmetal cabs and beds from 48-79 trucks so he knows what things are worth.

I know how you feel, after looking for almost a year I just bought a complete s/b truck just to steal the box for my project truck. I will probably flat deck it and resell it

Where are they getting these beds? I live in Az and I can't even find a good one. They're all rusted or wrecked.

buck, pm me again with your email address and i will try to put you in touch with a few junkyards here that dont really know/care what these beds are worth. as a matter of fact i know where theres a complete truck for sale that looks like it was pulled out of someones back yard, i think its a sb, cant be asking much 4 it. you can usually get a box around here for anywhere from $350 - $600 as long as you dont give up the fact that your too excited about the price (and that youre a yankee...lol)
