I had an auto parts store hook up a code reader because I have a check engine light comming on. The code that was read is p1400 EGR EVP Sensor Circuit Low Voltage Detected. Can someone suggest a possible solution or a course of action? Thanks
Here is the code definition and details from the Ford service manual:
Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P1400 indicates that Self-Test has detected a DPFEGR circuit input below the minimum.
Possible causes:
-- Leaking upstream pressure hose.
-- DPFEGR shorted to GND or SIG RTN.
-- VREF shorted to GND or SIG RTN.
-- Damaged D.P.F. EGR sensor.
-- Damaged PCM.
Most likely a bad DPF Sensor.
Hope this helps
