kick down linkage

Hello,I did a search but couldn't find what I needed.I have a 65 250 with a 352 and a c-6.Somewhere along the way a Holly 4bbl double pumper was installed.I have a couple of questions. The only number I could find was 3165 list 4776-1 stamped on the top, does that number make sense? Now my real question, the kickdown lever is hooked up to the carb but when I move the linkage thru it never hits the lever to kick the trans down.Sorry if I am wording this wrong but its tough to explain. Its as if part of the linkage on the carb is missing. If anyone has this setup on their Fe and has a picture I would like to see it so I can fab or buy this part. Thanks for any help.
Joe

Well, from my past experience you have to buy a FORD specific Holley to get the kickdown for auto tranny. I found the carb you have(or basic version)

http://www.holley.com/0-4776C.asp

This gives you the basics of it. It also has a PDF file that shows the instruction sheet for this carb. It didn't list a kickdown for FORD application. I looked thru a Jegs catalog quickly and only saw one carb(750 vac) that had Ford a/t kickdown. Not sure you can retro fit? Maybe a call to Holley will get you somewhere?

If it don't work Holley makes a 750 with manual choke(0-3310S) and one with electric choke(0-80508S). Both with the Ford kick down.

Let us know how it works please!!

The Holley 670 or 770 Street Avenger can be orderd with a Ford kickdown.
Check with Holley on replacing the throttle shaft with one that has the Ford kickdown, cheaper than another carb.

Thanks again.I installed the Lokar kickdown cable and it works perfectly.Nice when aftermarket stuff actually works without major fab work!
