Starting Problem
I'm having a starting problem with my 05 Lariat SCREW. When I start the engine (almost always when the engine is warm) as soon as it fires and I let off the key the idle dies down to almost a stall, it slowly increases to a normal idle and then runs fine. Sometimes on start during this scenario I get a brief engine knock. This problem was rare before I had my 30K service which included cleaning the throttle body and replacement of the fuel cutoff switch (computer code + TSB). I had taken it back since then and was told everything is ok. The problem persists. Apparently if here are no computer (ODB) faults the dealer does nothing. Does anyone have any ideas? Could it possibly be an injector problem? If so why would this only happen on startup? Need you Ford wizards to weigh in on this.
