reading codes
I am looking for a good good reader. I have read that most code readers won't read the vehical specific codes of our diesels. I have also read a little about cylinder contribution tests. What are my options on readers that will give me the ability to test everything i need without breaking the bank. From what i have read the auto ingunuity hooks up to a lab top and will do all the test i will need? Any help as to what direction i should go would be great. Thanks

I was leaning towards the ae from what i read. Thanks for the link. Where is the best place to get one? From what i read there are different versions. What are the main differences between them. Thanks again

either ITP or you can get it straight from Jay at www.autoenginuity.com .If all you are wanting to do is read Powerstrokes then the Ford enhanced package is what you want. ITP calls it the Ford Total Bundle.
