I have been trying on the internet and phone for 48 hours to find someone to supply and custom bend (one bend) about a 5' long piece of 4" SS. Any of y'all tried to find someone to do this? Better yet, can someone turn me on to some company that can and will do this? Called Extreme even and they were clueless.
Does it need to be mandrel bent? If not you could probably buy the pipe and then get a local electrician to bend it. If they're into heavy commercial stuff they probably have a hydraulic bending machine that should do it. Might get kinked though depending on the radius of the bend.....
i'm a superintendent for a large construction company, and recently had to extend the exhaust for a customer's emergency generator and needed some custom parts. this company supplied the parts needed. mabey they can help you, or tell you who you could go to for help. http://www.dmeexpansionjoints.com/

Here is who I use. BUT! If your trying to bend SS on the cheap? Try somewhere in your area? These guys make cool stuff for the racing industry. http://www.burnsstainless.com/
I need this yesterday. I gave up on the SS, there is no one in either one of the Carolina's that can bend it. Not that I could find anyway. The link Kwik posted is going to send me aluminized in 3 different pieces, I do believe I can make that work. So thanx Kwik.
SS has properties that make it a little different to work with. Really shows up when you push SS too its limits when bending and or stretching . Unlike Steel it has to be prepped a bit more. I too am interested in what you were trying to do?
The exhaust system on my 3208 Cat is tired from the muffler back. It is already 4" all the way off of the turbo and everything between the muffler and the turbo is in good shape. But the tail pipe has reached the point where I am embarrassed of it. The total length of what I need is about 40 inches because it is a rear engine bus. They are sending it to me in 3 piece's so I ought to be able to get it together myself.
I have an issue with my 4" pipe riding the crossmember/trans support. I am looking around for someone who can bend an offset in 4" and then reweld in to slide past. I feel your pain.

I can tell you that the Mark Romreill 5" systems come with a custom non-mandrell "dent" in the pipe at the crossmember to resolve that issue. Perhaps this may not be the best, but at that size, maybe the losses aren't that great. Might I humbly suggest a hammer sir?
