id like to know also. as sometimes mine does something similar.
when i turn the key to start i get a rapid clicking and then the motor wont start. take the key out and back in and it fires right up.
the UVC connector is the plug that goes into the valve cover union at the head, in the valley side of the engine. the actual gasket has wires running through it, and the plug on the outside may be loose. let me see if i can get a pic here.
here is the pic

not really that odd, when your glow plugs fire they draw massive amperage, pulling voltage down in an already dead battery, once they disconnect, voltage returns. whenever that key hits the on position, it creates pretty sizeable amperage draw on the batteries even before the starter engages. anytime you here buzzing/clicking while starting usually an indicator that the voltage has dropped low enough to not keep a solenoid/relay engaged, and batteries are at the top of the troubleshooting list.
