i was woundering when redoing the front brakes on my 79 4x4 can i take out the lock outs and take take the hub off and put it on the new rotors if so how hard is it to take and put back in the lock out?

As long as you have the socket for the (2) locknuts, not tough at all. Your year axle should take a four prong socket. Just lay out all the pieces in order and put them back the same way. Follow the torque and back off specs for that year. I spin the rotor back and forth while torquing.
