Aluminum Tailgate Panel Removal
Any tips or know-how for removing the aluminum tailgate panel from my 1994 F-150?
I need to get it off before we sand and paint...

Hello , The stainless panel is held on from bed side of tailgate . 8 small torx screws hold it on .Work screws out and in a turn or so each way to loosen,as they are going into plastic mount. Then should come right off and you will be ready to sand away. But I did have one that somebody used 3M tape instead of getting new mounts. I got off but what a pain. Good luck.

Ahh, so it's stainless steel... I thought it was aluminum. No wonder LMC wants so dang much for it.
I'll probably leave it off, so that means there's going to be some holes to weld... Awesome!
