VIN Numbers
For example, for my 87 F150 it is: 1FTEX14N1HKA83886.
I figured the 1F means Ford, the TEX stands for a Texas, and the 83886 stand for the production number.
Am I right? and what do the other numbers mean?
F=Ford Motor Company
T=Pickup
E=hydraulic brakes, GVWR Class E (6001-7000lbs)
X14=F150 Super Cab
N=5.0 V8 Gasoline 185 Horsepower
H=1987
K=Kansas City, MO
A83886=Production sequence number
