Hi all, I was wondering if anyone out there is running the kennebell kit on there pI 4.6. If so what did it dyno at. The kit comes with a 6 lb pulley. What is safe on the stock motor? If I wanted to run more boost can I do something else other than put forged pistons and rods to run a few more lbs safely. Thanks
I don't have the kit, but I've been researching an upgrade myself for a while.
Kenne Bell will tell you no more than 6 - safely. If you by the kit new... anything other than 6 will void your warranty. Covering their own, of course.
Having said that, if you feel you want more and have no qualms about possibly screwing up your engine, then that's why the aftermarket has ways to intercool the air charge - you just have to plumb the intake for it, and then get someone to tune for the higher boost.
