Fords labor day sale has got me thinking about a new truck, but in doing some homework, I have no idea how much possibly the dealer could reduce the price of the truck from MSRP. A good friend of mine recently got $7,000 off on a diesel 4WD cc lariat, and I was wondernig is that typical? I also heard of Superduties in some lots with $9,000 reductions marked on the windshield.
At 0% and with say a $7,000 discount I just might have to endure the missery of truck shopping
my 05 had a window sticker pirce of $46,000 ...with the "Ford Family Pricing" and much haggling with the dealer..i got it for $31,000 and even had them give me a FREE bed liner. I'm hapy with it..cuz i got it for what i planned on paying for it, the options it had and my payment is where i wanted it.
Go to www.carsdirect.com and build the truck with all the options that you are looking at. It will tell you invoice for that particular vehicle. The are very accurate. For most dealers $500 over invoice is as low as they will go. Just make sure, if you have a trade, they they give you a fair price.
We were only able to get 9k off. Plus a few extras like pinstripe and chrome door handles. You kind of have to wear them down, we test drove atleast 12 to 15 trucks it was nice and humid. We were there till almost 11pm deciding which truck we wanted. When they finally came around from 6k off to 9k or we were about to walk out on them. I have done this on my last three trucks and it has worked out. My wife hates me for it but i let her drive new truck home.
Plus you get all the other available incentives... The deals are best on the leftover '06s -- talk to Polarbear and see what he can do for you -- it's not that far of a drive for you from Nevada, heck we're leaving today to go get ours from him, 600 miles each way... (of course, the 600 coming back I'll have that 6-oh grin!)
Does anybody know actual invoice for a 2006 F150 crewcab XLT with 4.6? My dealer is offering them for $21K. MSRP is over $31K, but I would like to know the actual invoice to get the best deal.

Why not ask the dealer for the invoice? Then go to kbb.com and configure the same truck. Match the two invoice...
