I have a 98 Ford Taurus SE with the 3.0 Lt. engine. The owners manual says to run Motorcraft 32P sparkplugs in the front three cylinders and 32PP plugs in the back three cylinders. The factory plugs I took out were 32P in the front and 32PG in the back. I have never heard of this before and was wondering whats up. Are these different heats ranges? Does one side of the engine burn fuel differently? My main concern is to find out what plugs to run.
The factory put in what could be called semi-platinum plugs, they only have platinum on one electrode. The replacements are the same thing, basically.
Although, if you plan on going with platinum, I would go with NGKs.
You can (and should) run the "PP" plugs on both banks since they are double platinum. However, you might have a problem finding them, since Ford now recommends a different plug for your 3.0L, the new "FM" or "fine metal" series.
I respectfully disagree with Jared; I would stick with Motorcraft plugs.

What is the part # for the new "FM" series plug? Thanks for the info!
Should i replace the front ball joints? Car has 104000 miles. I just put new tires on and the old ones where worn on the inside. It might be lack of rotating.
Sounds like something needs looking at. I would check it over and inspect the tie rods and ball joints vigorously. It may just need an alignment. As far as the plugs, go with what the dealer recommends, I don't remember seeing that in the time I worked in the parts dept. But I may have never looked up plugs for one either. Is it a Duratec (24V) or a Vulcan (12V) engine? The ones you take out are from the factory and marked different than what you'd get from a dealer. Enough of my rambling!
