Sea Foam Fuel Additive. Have you used it?

I have over 63K miles on my diesel Excursion (7.3 PSD) and have never added an additive (and I haven't had any problems with it either). I'm getting ready to go to the river this weekend and just picked up a quart of the stuff and now I'm having second thoughts. The fuel tank is full, all I gotta do is pour it in.

What's your experience?

I have been using Howes Diesel Treat sucessfully since I bought my X in 03. Picked up 1 MPG and my filters look better at chamging. My Mechanic says it's keeping the injectors clean too.

I've never used in the Excursion, but I've used it many times in my Lightning.

I've added to my gas, in the oil, and ran it through the brake booster vacuum line to directly clean the carbon deposits.

Seems to work well enough.

Have never used Sea Foam in the Diesel, but have run it in my cars and the boat. Worked wonders in the Maverick after it had sat in a garage for almost 2 decades.

Ok PolarBear, let us know, I am going to use some in my 77, if you are happy, maybe I'll run a can through the diesel in the X.
