rim width for 31s

For 31 x 10.50 r 15 tires what would be the best rim width to go with? i checked on the tires and they say 7 - 9 inch. As im getting new rims ive found they make 7 and 8 inch wide. Not really sure whats the best for the tire though, want the tread to look flat not rounded like it does atm on my 6 inch wide rims lol.

I have had sets on 7s and 8s. I like the wider look of the 8" rim, but the 7 makes for less issues, depending on the vehicle.

10" wheels are pretty wide for a 10.50 tire, I would go with the 8" wheel unless you plan on switching to a 12.50 wide tire in the near future.

no this is the tire i plan to stay with for the truck. i dont plan to lift the truck at all. My worry with the 8 inch is that the tire would end up looking to narrow at the top if that makes sense. like im pretty sure if you stuck it on a ten inch rim it would really look pulled in at the top and i dont want that. thats why i wanted your guys opinion on the 7 or 8 inch wide rim. also i dont want to go to much wider because i dont want the tire sticking out past the fender i just dont care for how that looks. If it helps at all the rims im looking at are american racing outlaw II with 3.75 backspacing. The vehicle this is going on is a 1980 ford f 150 4 x4

Go with the 8s. It looks "full" without being obnoxious.

8 inch is fine for a 10inch wide tire.

Rims are 8" and tires are 31"x10.5" x 15". https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...125390&width=0
