Anyone have any experience with this winch? I am planning on mounting it to my 04 F250 SD. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hi, If the model number is the pull rate then it is wayyyy to small! You will need to go up around 8000 to 9000 for that truck. Even if you double the pull 4500 is right on the border line. I have a 78 250 4x4 and have an old 8500 warn. At full line out it is just bearly enough some times. But I do have it loaded all the time with about 800 lbs. of tools. If the price is what you are looking at, save your money and go with one around 9000- 10000. You will be glad you did. Erv

If you've already bought it go ahead and mount it. It is undersized (a winch can never be too big) but with a double line pull (maybe even a triple) it will work as long as it isn't buried to the frame. If you can sell it and get a bigger one that would be better. Do you know anyone that owns a jeep?

A 4500 pound winch is great for a trailer or BII/Ranger. If it has never been used, you should be able to sell it close to full price to someone that does not want to paying the S&H that you already did.

If you are buying a bigger one for up front it would make a good bed winch if you go off road by yourself.
