oil problims

Hi all:
I had my stock heads milled and now the passages thst the oil flow in are
checking .110 deep.
The big book says they should be around .2. so do i leave them alone and not install the oil restrictors on the top side? or take the dremmel to the 2 passages and in stall restrictors?? what do ya think ?

Add the thickness of the head gaskets to that figure. .110 + .040 = .150, that should be plenty of space for oil flow. You probably could forego the restrictors.

Before you clean up the heads tap the angled passage under the rocker stand on each head at the oil feed to 3/8"-16 thread. Later if needed you can install allen grub screw restictors drilled in different diameters to match your needs. A lot cleaner than installing Holley carb jets. They first must be annealed before drilling but worth the extra effort later.

Your welcome Mike, here to help and by the way nice job cleaning up those heads specially the unshrouding of the exhaust valve that many people forget or not know about. A old dog who learned a few tricks over the years.
Intake, carb, cam, headers and exhaust match the heads?
