I purchased a 62 Falcon on ebay this week. I had intended to drive to pick it up with a brand x truck today but the brand x radiator crapped on me yesterday. So I decided to drive the ole 73 F100 with the 390 I built up. The only reason I didn't want to drive it in the first place was the AC is not working yet. At any rate, I drove from the Houston, TX area to the Dallas, TX area, picked up the Falcon and drove back. No oil consumption...the splash shields with fingers are working....woooohooooo......I owe an apology to DSC as I was certain it was their adjustable rocker setup. I averaged a little over 10 mpg on the way up and close to 9 mpg back. Other than less gas mileage, I couldn't tell the Falcon and trailer were behind me. BTW...I was driving on the order of 80 mph most of the way. We had lot's of stares as we passed people in the old truck pulling a trailer with a falcon on it....lol. I love these FE's....they have great torque! I took my son with me....he's 13....the car is for him. I had a falcon that I sold earlier this year. He's been on my case about it so much that I broke down and bought this one to restore. That's my next project. Wonder if I could shoehorn an FE in there??? LOL.

OH you can! Even if you have to take out the inner fenders you can! I think your son will have a blast building it up and especially when he fires it up the first time and drives it!
