Im going to take off my ttb front dana 50 and put a dana 60 straight axle on my 96 250.I have the drop down bracket from skyjacker for it and that other little black bracket that most stock trucks with the dana 60 has.but now for my question can i use the same drop pitmen arm that i have on my truck for a 6" skyjacker suspension lift?or will i need to get another drop pitmen arm to make things work right?its a dana 60 off a 88 f 350 that i got off an old truck from the junk yard.also what about the track bar?i have the stock track bar with the axle but can i get a heavy duty one for offroad?the axle is missing the stock sway bar also should i get one for it?.this truck is my daily driver.

the swap is a direct bolt in. the steering arm will be fine. you need a trac bar but you dont really need a sway bar. try driving it a lil bit before getting one!
i guess you know you wont be needing the TTB brackets, in fact they will get in the way.
the stock trac bar is plenty stout, they are solid. however you will be limited when offroad. if you plan to offroad it i suggest doing a shackle reversal from Sky Manufacturing while you're at it. it will eliminate the whole trac bar
well i dont know much about shackle reversal i have only read a little bit about it.is a shackle reversal just for the front?and then you level out the rear of the truck with add a leafs?or is it for the front and the rear?yes i am going to offroad it and i like the sound of it.do you have pics of how you did it?and why is there no track bar with skys kit?and how much did you pay for it?thanks cutts
shackle reversal is for the front (you are reversing the end the shackle mounts to) and shackle flip is referring to the rear (fliping the shackle over)
i made my own mounts, didnt buy anything, i'm to cheap.
the reason a trac bar is not needed is b/c of the placement of the shackles. for some reason ford utilized shackles up in the front of the springs near the bumper. this causes problems b/c the shackle tends to want to move around b/c it is not solidly mounted to the frame. the sky kit mounts the front of the front springs solidly to the frame and you just add a shackle (provided in the kit) to the factory spring hanger. with the sahckle in the rear the spring is more or less pulling the shackle rather than trying to push it forward.
i think sky's kit is $300 or so, been a while since i looked
i know you are trying to support the site but that doesnt help him one bit. on a 92-97 3/4 - 1ton ford with leafs a shackle reversal does way more good than some off-the-shelf lift kit. in fact all year model trucks can be made to use the shackle reversal kit but it does take some fabbing.
