Smile Problems

On the lemmon law thing I understand it is a state by state regulation. Check with your Attorney Generals office. I had a lemmon law Ford truck in 1996. My new F-350 spent more time at the dealership than my driveway. I legally had them in WA.state. The district rep. moved in real fast. I think its a bad mark on there record when they have to buy back a truck. I stood my ground and they told me to put in an order for a 97 and drive the 96 till it arrived. They did after the fact, correct problem. This was my first encounter with the big boys. It helped me with my 01. Document every minute and the exact words of every conversation. If they try to pull sonething over on you, ask for it in writing. That was what won me on an oil leak. The service dept. wrote and signed a doc. that said I had modded intake so warrenty is void. Our Attorney General didn't like that Doc. at all. The owner of the dealership called me at home to appoligize and invite me back for service. Some time you just have to show the A#@& hole side and intimidate the spit out of them.

So true Ramsmoker, recently the service advisor told me that my Banks down pipe was causing my CEL; I told him to just put it writing so I could sue the pants off Banks. Turns out that the other dealer that installed my EGR cut an o-ring causing a leak?
Stand your ground and get everything in writing...
Tim

I have a 03" 6.0 f-350 and have 107K on it. I started having problems soon as Ford flashed the computer for erratic idle. Took it in at 3500 miles for a oil change and got this idle symptom. From then on I started having problems like heavy smoking on acceleration, stalling at highway speeds, catalytic convertor breaking at weld which they did not warranty because I had 42k on my truck and a host of the same problems I've been reading on this great forum

I've been e-mailing the heck out of Ford and got a few responses to there mis-hap of a engine, but none to talk about. For now every time they respond I'll continue to let them know how mad their loyal customers are about Ford not standing behind there trucks with the 6.0

Cool Problems

I tried with customer service to a point. The canned answers and the were sorry we can't help but we'll put this in your file, thanks for being a loyal Ford customer. I don't expect them to buy me an engine because my 200hp chip lifted the heads off. But it's not fair to me to have to buy an engine because mine was assembled wrong and has mass end play. This warranty was void because of an air intake and 4" exhaust.
