transmission problems
1991 f150 302 4x4
problem is truck was driven a short distance in 4 high without the front hubs locked in one of kids pulled on shifter when it was parked and didn t notice it now truck will not go in any gear any thoughts on what happened and how to fix
another question is trany same for a 2wheel drive truck as it is for a 4wheel drive truck

Make sure the transfer case isn't in between gears.
I've had it happen to me.
It won't hurt it running in 4wd without the hubs locked in.
The parts all turn but don't do anything, except use a little more fuel.
The 4wd and 2wd transmissions are different.
