window scratches

I am new to this I am not to good at posting things(web illiterate) any way I saw others having problems with window scratching. I have that problem with my 250 05 model. I figured if I took it to the dealer they would just tell me to wash it more often. Is this a warrenty item?

Their is a tsb on that i posted the same thing last week. I don't remember the number but search in the superduty section. I took the tsb number to the dealer and they are replacing the side windows, some moulding, and my tint. My truck was an 05 also.

I have the window scratch issue on both front doors on my 05. I don't know why but I never considered taking it back for repair. Thanks for the TSB info, I made an appt. with my local dealer for Friday morning. He said he would order the glass today, and hopefully have it done Friday afternoon. Thanks again guys.

I already took my truck in for the scratching and I had to take the TSB's with me so they knew about them and they replaced my window moldings and the windows on both sides.

I wonder if they keep the window molding in stock or does it need to be ordered in.

I went by this morning and they took one look at the molding and ordered a new one for the drivers side, the passenger side appeared to be fine. They said it would only be a couple of days and when it comes in I could just wait while they chnged it.
It seems it is a pretty fast and simple job to swap out your window molding.

I took the truck in this morning. I left there with a bad feeling. "I'll talk to my manager and see what he wants to do." In my brain that translated to "This is BS and I'm going to try to get out of it." I was very polite and all but something in his manerisms made me think he didn't like me knowing about a TSB he didn't know about. Maybe he didn't like me knowing about TSB's at all. Anyway I will let you know what they do as soon as I hear from them.

I hope it works out. I did not have any scratches on my window just the molding pulling away from the window. But I will keep a eye on it if i get any scratches within 3 years or 36k miles i will take it in.

Just got a call. My service rep said it all checked out, and the manager approved it, but that the glass hadn't been ordered. I'm going to go pick up the truck and they will will call me when the parts come in ("Usually 2 business days"). So it looks like it will work out, but not until at least next week.
