The Dallas Morning News is carring this "official" news as well. And as I had stated earlier...it will be intro'd / on display at the Texas State Fair...

http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories...l&SECTION=HOME

And to think...we were one of, if not the first, Ford Dedicated site to open a 6.4 Forum. Sure had to fight off a bunch of naysayers...

I believe it is still the largest and longest running state fair in the country.

Sept. 29 thru Oct. 22 this year.

http://www.bigtex.com/

I will be there on Oct 2....our schools in the DFW area have a traditional day off (FAIR DAY) so that's when I always go.

"Better fuel economy" than the 6.0. I hope that's true, especially with diesel prices higher than gas prices now...

Better fuel economy with ULSD requirement....hmmm....gonna have to show me that one on the streets.

Seems I remember a 6.0 intro release stating an approximate 8% highway MPG increase over the 7.3...

It is my honorable intention to do so.

There apparently will be a media splash the day before the Fair opens...hopefully with a lot of info.

Can someone tell me when the truck will be in Dallas I would love to take a look at it. I will be on my way to Missouri around that time from South Texas and I can stop and take some notes.

Talking

I have been to that Fair a few times, Its huge. The OU vs Texas game is played right there as well. GM launched there last all new re-designed trucks there in 98 and they will be there launching there all new 2007 trucks at the Fair again this year as well, right along with the new 2008 SD's. I am betting its going to be one heck of truck show this year. I wonder if Dodge has anything up there sleves for the show.

According to people at Ford Marketing there will be 6 '08 SuperDuty's at the Texas State Fair for the official introduction of the "truck". This will include the 6.4. I do not know as of yet the vehicle configurations or how many will be 6.4's. As for the 6.4 its self, it was speculated that the official introduction of the "engine" would be sometime next week 8/28.
