is $100 too much for a 56 shortbed?

Did someone call my name??
Last June I bought a 58 Ranchero for $100. It was complete, but not running. Even came with extra replacement trim. About a month later, I sold it for $2k on eBay and bought more truck parts.
Keep "bugging" them and they'll sell. Maybe increase your offer to $500.
I'm still kicking myself in the a** for not buying a complete 51 Panel for $500 when I first got my 52 Panel. It even had a flathead V8 and the sheetmetal was perfect (except for the rear and doors).

i just went through the same thing though . i found a 55 f 100 that has been sitting forever in a nice quite out of the way place where i suppose only i and my son in law knew of and it is hidden . any way i've stopped numerous times and this thing is all there , it's a custom cab , the top has been chopped , dropped axle , etc.. with 312 in it and finally had it bought for $ 200 . yep went back the next day , and took off from work , and his wife told him that he should keep it as they are worth lots of money as she seen one on e-bay going for big bucks . damn e-bay and those high dollar auctions . it will rot completely away before he let's it go now.

This '54 would be worth restoring but someone removed the vin plate somewhere along the lines, I have the title for it but it can't be transfered from out of state with out an inspection and it won't pass inspection with out the vin plate.
I'm going to search the frame but I'm not sure if the VIN is anywhere else on these older trucks or not. The front end has also been modified and welded to because a PO put a dodge van front and rear axle in it. If I can get it titled and what not I might see about keeping it as a whole truck, or at least use this cab on my '56's long box frame.

I just bought a 55 F100 for 250.00 complete with original 239 and three on the tree.
Bed wood was gone and rusted. I was looking at the buyers guide for 2008 and with my truck the way it sits right now is worth over 1200.00 so I would ****** that 56 up
in the blink of an eye if I were you. You can see my gallery. Only two pics there but
their OK.

He said to make another offer(this was 2 months ago) But since the contractor has dragged out the house build for 6 extra months now, the wife won't let me buy anything [higher int. rate, bigger utility bills, etc....]). Long story there, but I'm patiently waiting. Meanwhile, I'm trying to sell the '78 bronco to make room. Probably gonna have to strip the '85 f150 and get my big orange '78 back on the road so that I atleast have a running pickup. I'm hemmin' and hawin' over my '73 IH, got another tbird coming, now driving my Saturn to save on gas, got the Jeep, wife's blazer, the Merc, the '48, the '79 plow, so everything is a big shuffle....it certainly is an addiction.
