is there a possibility to order a new shelby gt for 1000 over invoice or on x plan in spring of 07?
not sure of the price yet, but the goal would be to order a little or no option mustang gt add the shelby package for 33k otd. will one be able to get a no option mustang gt with the shelby package? thats the big question.

$33K is towards the upper end of what Shelby's have been selling for in relation to sticker- in other words, $20-$35K over MSRP, not as a selling price. I think you're going to have to wait at least a couple of years before those cars come down to around MSRP.
i know of a few that have paid msrp for the gt500 already. i am just assuming that the gt500 the most wanted shelby. i cant see dealers getting over 40k for a mustang gt with intake and suspension.also with the influx of shelby(hertz, gt, gt500, gt350) the ability to get your hands on a shelby will not be that hard. i do believe i could locate one for msrp, the trick will be getting it for less or on x plan.
I know of a few dealers that took orders @ MSRP- before knowing what the market would be. I don't know of anyone that actually has taken delivery of one at that price though. $15K over is the least I've heard, and that was a small dealer in the mid-West. If someone told you they got one for MSRP.... I'd check their paperwork before I believed them. Serious. Z06 corvettes are readily available compared to Shelby's right now.
Edit: the rental Shelby GT350's won't be on the market for at least a year, and there are only a few hundred of them. It's not exactly like they flooded the market. The other GT500's are all Shelby GT500's- that's the model.

i have heard both. ordered at msrp, and then sold out from under them. i also know of one who paid msrp only after paying above for his ford gt. people have paid msrp, but few and far between. my dealer(friend of gm) told me thier first two gt500 on ordered went for over 100k.
the hertz gt - that is out now will be held for a year or 18 months or 18k miles from what i have been told. summer of 07 i am sure they start popping up on lots. these rentals are showing up in droves at bondurant.
shelby gt - just another mustang gt with intake and suspension. just like the hertz. only comes in 2 colors because shelby auto is saving another color for the new gt350.
with the possibilities of 4 shelby mustang on lots in the next 2 years i feel it will not be hard to get into one of these cars. realistically we could have as many as 30k units on the roads in 3 years.
but it is looking harder and harder to get one below msrp. thanks
I stopped by a dealership in Phoenix less than 2 weeks ago and saw a blue and white Shelby sitting inside. I was amazed that they put a 45K market adjustment on a car that stickers for 43 K. I understand supply and demand will dictate price ( just fill up your tank to see that), but I'm thinking that the demand will subside and the price will be close to MSRP in less than 2 years. I also hope that the new 6.4 liter superduty trucks are not market-adjusted up when they come out.

i am not asking about the 500 hp gt500. i am talking about the 325 horse shelby gt that is not out yet. it is a mustang gt with frpp intake, frpp suspension, strut brace, special exhaust, and a hurst 5sp short throw shifter. it will be about $35k. it only comes in 2 colors. shelby and ford are also thinking about a gt350 as well. with all these shelby's on the market you would think all will not sell for msrp or above.
this is the car i want. it is called the shelby gt -
Ah- that might surface next spring. It's on the docket, and was originally slated for right after the 1st of the year. I think Ford wants to concentrate marketing on the new Super Duty before tackling other product lines. At this time it's not orderable- Ford hasn't posted specs or prices.
actually later the better. i still am in the process of saving. the other decision i should make is shelby gt or maybe wait another year for a shelby gt350? in my opinion the 07 shelby gt is the best looking mustang since the 60's.
in a perfect world(powerball) i would get the shelby gt and find my 03 mach 1, which i sold to buy a house.
