clunk on the downshift at 20mph

clunk on the downshift at 20mph
I have had a small annoying clunk on the downshift.. on my 98 xlt .. i have taken it in.. they say the tranny is fine.. but it bugs me.. i have replaced the tps, i have cleaned out the throttle body a couple times. I have flushed out the tranny 2 times.. and still when shifting from 3 rd to 2nd (automatic) at 20 mph it makes teh clunk.. any ideas??

its a 4x2 ...
You can't hear it if you are on the brakes when it hits 20mph on the down shift.. but if i am coasting.. then i can hear in clunk. . thats for the heads up.. i haven't thought about rear diff..
