Reason: Still correcting new members: Yes,but they are usually asked about in the 1968 to present Large Van forum.
Thanks Mil1ion, its a 77 Model, as it came as a church van, it has 3 bench seats with rear air in the side, fold out windows, including on the sliding door. I have a another 77 model that came with a 351w but its a Ambulance (came from the factory that way) Its not as heavy duty as the Chateau, not has it got the extra large rear end with the floating axle and 8 lug wheels. I brought the Chateau has a parts van for the Ambulance as the person (church) let it sit for two years without putting any stabil in the gas tank, and of course you can smell the varnish that the gas produced for that long of a period. They had a mechanic look at it before I got it for 100.00 and said that the engine was needing a valve job as they thought it needed it. they put a new timing chain and distributor and Duraspark ignition and a new fuel pump on it. I am thinking that its a fuel issue and may keep and drive it instead. but gotta get it timed first and see what else they messed around with.
I seen the Club Wagon on the rear quarter panel and the Chadeau on the front and thought it kinda strange that Ford couldn't decide which name plate to put on it. But you are correct as usual about all you say here on the board and I appreciate your input greatly.
I have the 79 Club Wagon brochure if you want to know more about it.
In 79 there was:
The Custom Club Wagon
The Standard Club Wagon
The Captain's Club Wagon
The Chateau Club Wagon
The NEW Super Wagon
The Mini-Motorhome
Camper Conversions
2 Trailer towing packages were offered
Ther Free-wheeling package was also offered
