I just purchased a 1965 F100 from the original owner. My truck is so cool! When the old guy bought the truck 37 years ago he removed the tailgate to install a camper and misplaced the hinges. The tailgate was stored in a shed and looks like new. Where can I find hinges for my truck? Are they the same for different years? thanks in advance for any help.
Welcome aboard!
You should get many years of enjoyment out of your 65. Parts are available from several vendors including this site. [link: motorhaven.autoanything.com|Click here!] I would have checked for you but you failed to mention if your bed is a styleside or flareside. Post back and we can help you locate some.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 15-May-02 AT 00:14 AM (EST)]The styleside is without the steps....the bed is smooth all the way down. Also can be called a wide bed. So you may have a short wide bed, a long wide bed, or a flare side (Stepside).

I have a brand new pair, I bought a truck years ago that someone had done the same, taken off the tailgate to host a camper. I sold the truck and camper, sold the new tailgate. And ended up with the brand new complete hinge set. It is blue, email me we will make a deal.
