i am looking to buy an exhaust for my 05 f250 crew cab 8ft bed 6.0 diesel, what would be a good exhaust, a 4 or 5 inch, any perosnal experiences, i have no knowledge on exhaust and would like any help from anyone, i don't tow, so anything for more perforance would be nice
5 inch pipe, no muffler. Loud and about as free-flowing as it gets.
Give it a shot up in the 6.0L forum as well, see if they have any advice. I hear good things about the 5 inch though. The four inch will produce almost the same results and sound, and be cheaper, if that's your thing!
Dang man...gotta get it doing something productive! lol.
Anyways, the formula I see for a diesel seems to be lose all the stuff on the pipe. Literally a pipe from where the turbo exit (forgive me I dunno how exactly it's routed) heads to the rear of the vehicle, a straight solid pipe going all the way out with as few bends as possible. 4-5 inch is about perfect, great roaring sound and you'll definetly hear the turbo. Might lower your EGTs a bit as well.
