It fixed my aceration prblem. there seems to be a loud knocking in the top of the engine? cant figure it out it doesnt sound like it is in the head but i dont know.
thanks Dan
ok all cleaned out ran the engine cleaner in there extreamly dirty but seems clean inside now. I put my finger in the oil filler and there wasnt anything in there. I put on a new pcv valve new plenum gasket which was almost gone in the back. new rings on the injectors. cleaned the throtle body and butterflies. put everything back together with msd cap and rotor. stil bucking around higher rpms when i acellerate from around 40. The check engine light is on. How do i pull the koer codes and translate them? I never know which ones i am pulling so a little help on the places to jump would be great. I was thinking this could be the o2 sensor? I removed the cats and didnt hook up the air pump line too? any help would be greatly Appreciated because i have to drive it to maine then new hampsire then new york in a few days. Thanks Dan
Go to www.fordfuelinjection.com and on the column on the right is a link which will tell you how to pull the codes.
Do not touch the idle screw. The computer controlls the majority of the idle. Sounds to me like you have a vaccuum leak. Listen around the intake for any leaks. Make sure the "tree" that screws into the upper part of the intake plenum has no open branches (haha).
thanks i ran the codes and this is what I got.
172 HEGO sensor circuit indicates system lean (right side)
327 DPFE or EVP circuit below minimum voltage of 0.2 volts.
543 When the PCM commanded the fuel pump on, voltage was not detected on FPM
I dont understand any of this but hopefully you guys do.
Hey guys Danny IM'd me on MSN and I tried helping him out with these codes. The 327 is obviously EGR related. 172 is probably caused by 327. 543 has me puzzled. I told him to hook everything back up and then reset the computer, then taking it for a drive again and see what codes he gets. Sound like a good plan?
