Did anyone install those vortex on their van, is it good or not I'm planning to make one myself to pout on my van. I guess I'll build 2 for each rubber air hose.
It's a piece of useless junk in many peoples opinion (mine included). This thing is supposed to improve the air flow and air / fuel mixxing. If anything, it probably impedes air flow by reducing the cross-sectional area of your intake tube(s). Also, another issue is that the air still has a long way to go after it passes through your intake tubes (where the vortex is located)...through the throttle body, through the upper intake and through the lower intake before it ever comes in contact with any fuel. Any "swirling" effect is long negated by then (or at least reduced to the point of having no effect on fuel / air mixing). My advice would be, don't waste your time making one (or two) or your money buying one.
Seems to me, the engineers that design the factory intake systems spend lots of time getting the most effiecient air flow thru the intake possible.
Then folks come along and claim these ad-on devices are gonna increase your mileage. It happens every time gas prices go up, all the roaches come out of the woodwork to glean you out of your cash.
