A few AC problems

Hey guys, I have a 96 F150. Ever since I got the truck, the AC/heat only works on the high and low setting. When I turn the AC to high, the fan is really loud and I can tell its not putting out as much air as it should be. When I turn it back to low, it makes a groaning noise like it is winding down. Also, I know this may sound crazy, but it seems like when I turn my steering wheel to the left or right, the noise gets extremely louder. I know I have a vaccuum leak that wont let me use my max AC, but I dont think it would cause the other problems... Any ideas on how to go about fixing the fan noise and the ability to use the medium speeds? And could there possibly be a corrolation between turning my steering wheel and the fan noise getting louder????? THanks guys!

Okay guys, I got the new blower motor in, works great. I am still having the issue of not being able to run my switch at medium speeds... just high and low work at this point. Im guessing there is a switch in the wiring somewhere, but can anyone tell me where it is and how to go about replacing it? Also, I found my busted vaccuum line, the whole thing is pretty brittle... How do I go about repairing this, and where does it go to once it enters the firewall?

To repair the vacuum line, just replace it with 1/8" rubber vacuum line. Fits right over it like a sleeve.

I'd suspect yout speed switch before the resistor pack. Both are possibilities.
