Power Lock Actuator Replacement

1997 Ford F-150 - My driver's side door actuator needs replacement. One day, when I pressed lock or unlock, it would just make a grinding sound, like shifting without the clutch type noise, so I took the door panel off and just disconnected the plug from the actuator and I am now manually pressing down the lock to lock it and uisng my key to unlock the door. I stared at the door for about an hour, stuck my hands wherever I could and I have no idea how I can get the actuator out and a new one in. It seems there is a rivet holding it in or something. It may be above my league in car work... Should I bite the bullet and just bring it to a shop? If yes, does anyone have a ballpark cost? Thanks in advance for any advice/opinions.

Here's how to do it in a 1996 truck. They say you have to drill out the rivet.

Wow, couldn't have asked for more, thank you. If this is how to do it, then expect some pictures to be up here to help others.
