I don't know about the vidoe but the Stacker2 commercial with the girl washing the truck is a 65 Ford and last night on Junkyard Wars (the hillclimber episode) there was a complete 65 longbed up on top of a heap of cars. I noticed it when they were doing a bit in the yard.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing on JYWs a copule of months ago, and yes, that is one in the Alan Jackson video. You ever notice how they always have the right stuff available to build their machines in that show? I think it is rigged somewhat. Wouldn't you like to get into their junkyard to find the parts that have been lookin' for?

By the way, is this show taped in England or the USA?

Yeah, I saw that too and was elated they actually used a 64 just like the song says. What I can't figure out though, is why he later refers to a "Jeep" and then they use an early Bronco. What's up with that? Alan's supposed to be a big Ford guy. Surely they know the difference between a Jeep and a Bronco. Later, Phil

Why a Bronco for a Jeep reference? I'm guessing that AJ doesn't make a trip to the john that isn't in a Ford. There may have been a Jeep in his past, but he's a Ford guy now. Or he's Ford's guy now.

Indeed that is a 64...a CustomCab no less!!!(note the door handle scratch guards). That song got my juices going even before the weather started getting better as to bringing my truck out of its too long of a hibernation.
As to the Bronco/Jeep issue...great Q, but I agree with the above posts as to AJ being a FoMoCo guy. Did you notice that the Bronco even had the correct radio antenna and wasnt all tubbed out as is so common with the early Broncos....
The song brings back a flood of memories of me going around with my Dad in the ole' truck(which I now have)...to be young again....

My best friend watches MTV a lot, but I usually don't. One day at his house I saw a video on it that had what looked to be a '65- it was flashed on there for just a few seconds a couple of times so I'm not positive about the model. The video was Nappy Roots-Awnaw. It's simply amazing how popular these trucks have become. :-staun

Who knows about these Alan Jackson videos. A couple of years ago he did a Ford Truck Commercial for Ford Motor Co. and the commercial started out showing him, playing his guitar, as he was walking into this big old barn. As he walked in there was a red 48-50 F-1 on the left side of the screen and the further he walked into the barn a huge support pole came into view on his right hand side. And hanging on the pole was a 1957 CHEVxxxET hub cap in a FORD commercial. Who would have THUNK it.
