I installed a MP8 stacked with TS 5x loader in my '05' 6.0 and have a turbo surge or a pulsation when turned up at all. I only notice this at speeds over 50 mph.. Has any one experienced this prolbem? What seems to be happining is the turbo is building psi. (4 to 6 psi) and then backing down.I originally thout it was the stacking but afer removing the 5x loader and only running the MP-8 I experienced the same pulsation. The truck has no codes and does not have the problem with the 5x loader installed alone. I'm sure TS will fix the problem come monday but I wanted to know if anyone has had the same problem or if it could be something outher than the MP-8. I can say the power of the 5x loader alone is great but with the MP-8 it's unbelievable.
Most likely it's the programming conflicting itself in some parameter--see if each does it alone--that should be the start of the resolution to your problem. I don't know if there's any way to fix it as I'm not familiar with the mp-8, but I know the 5x is spoken very highly of......
Ive been reasearching ts performance and they say the MP8 can be stacked with any chip or programmer no problem. Could it be stacked with a hypertech programmer safetly on the 6.0 since hypertech claims to be one of the safest programmers out. Id say conntact TS and ask them if there are any answeres to your questions or specific settings that might work better on these trucks.
