parted out Super Duty cost

Just thinking of a future project.....the DT466 swap. What's the likelyhood of finding a 99& up SD 250 or 350 without the Powerstroke or tranny? I've seen a few mid 80's trucks with either a blown engine or none at all. Even found an 85 F250 for free, til I found out about the title mess. You think I could piece a truck together at a bone yard from wrecked ones? Nothing wrong with the older ones, it's just my wife is more likely to ride in a nicer & newer rig(smooother ride).

A buddy of mine just totalled his '06 F250 SD. Unfortunately there's not much left of the body that's usable. Good engine and drivetrain though...

He said it wound up in Vallejo.

That's going to be the problem, I just want a good body & rolling chassis.

Dale, my njeighbor has a '01 or so SD 250, with the power stroke, I think it's like 70K on it, guy ran off the road, busted something on the front suspension (4WD) and messed up the opass side fender, maybe the door...i didn't look too close.

I think he told my dad 2500 or something likie that, may have been 5K, heck I don't recall, but you know where I live, and he's two houses before me, I could check the price for you...I don't think it's his truck, but a friends of his that parked it there after he went off the road. I could PM you his number if you want.
