Clutch?
Can anyone recomend a shop in Sac to get my clutch/throwout changed? I live in an apt and can not do it at home. I usualy go to Wayside automotive in Fair Oaks, his initial quote was at least 650 for labor alone. Its an 1986 Ranger 4X4, 2.9 with the 4speedOD tranny

I don't want you to think you're not getting any love here, but sorry, I'm too far from Sac to give you a recommendation.
There's a 3rdgen camaro site (www.thirdgen.org) that has a large following in the Sacramento area, just head over there and post up (do an intro, tell'em you've been looking for a 3rdgen, and BTW....)
You should get some recommedations and probably offers to help you out

I used to know a guy in Ranch Cordova who had a shop there, haven't talked to him in quite a while. Sorry I can't recall the name of his his shop, but his name is Tim Taylor (no kidding...just like on Home Improvement!) and he's an excellent wrench. Maybe you could track him down by his name, rather than the business name.
Clutch job on a 4X4 in a major metropolitan area isn't gonna come cheap anyway.
