I finished the radiator flush and 203 t/stat replacement today; most things went well and I appreciate all the help that I received on this site. It really helped.
Next project: The van has about 77k on it and no front end work has been done. I'm considering pulling the front wheels, and either cleaning/repacking or replacing the wheel bearings. While the wheels are off, I'll replace the brake pads. Question:
Is 77k a good time to do this project/should it have been done a long time ago/or should I wait until I have trouble with it? At this time, I have no problems with this vehicle; no uneven wear on the tires, brakes are good, no pullilng, no noise. What's your thoughts?
grease on wheel bearings is a maintainence issue. yes do it. do the pads if needed. and replace the wheel seals too. i don't knwo what the interval is supposed to be for wheel bearing but i would say they are due.
