[updated:LAST EDITED ON 07-Jul-02 AT 00:08 AM (EST)]I am trying to figure out if my valve covers are correct for my 352. The engine in my 66 custom cab is getting a complete rebuild and cosmetic treatment. I want to make sure I have the right covers. The guy I'm taking the truck to says he doesn't think the covers are original (everyone I speak to says he knows his stuff). Most of my "truck budget" for the year is going to this rebuild, so if anyone out there knows where to find correct covers pretty cheap, please let me know. I figure I may as well change them out now with the rest of the job.
Also, I am looking for a parking brake cable that leads from the handle to the bracket... any ideas?
Finally, I was lucky enough to stumble upon a set of hubcaps that are accurate for my truck. Now, however, the wheels aren't right; therefore, the caps don't fit. So, yes, now I'm looking for wheels.
It's amazing what it takes to get back to original what looked to me like original when I bought the truck. This is GREAT! It's just too bad it's so expensive. :-staun

Will
PS...
I just figured out how to create an album and post pics. I put on three pics so far, and I will update as the restoration progresses. Take a look and let me know what you think...
You know, sometimes I regret that I didn't think of giving out cigars when I brought him home.
Will, You got a nice looking, well kept truck. Now if you pull the front end of that truck into the sun, raise the hood and take a picture for posting, we might be able to help you id the valve covers, but my Xray vision just aint what it used to be. With the hood down, I just couldn't tell. All of the FEs use the same size covers, and some have different script on them.
I think I have a park brake cable with handle hanging on the wall in my shop. My e-address is below if I can help.
The wheels should be very easy to come by. They were used on a gazillion trucks.
