looking at new trucks

So im intrested in both the f250 and 150 lariat trucks. Im definatly going with a 07 with a 6 foot bed. It would also be the crew cab with teh 4 full doors. Anyways the problem is i cant decide which one to get. Pros for 150: feels snappier and sportier, cheaper, softer suspension for a better ride. 250 pros: front end looks better, taller stance, more leg room in back seat. Im really having a hard time deciding and was hoping you guys could help. And on a side note i really wont be doing any trailering. Only once in a while but i will have trips to home depot and such so there will be some weight in the back at times along with all the dirtbikes and quads.thanks

I like them both. But...

While driving, you won't see that F250 front end that you like so much. Height? You can always add a 6" lift to the F150. And if you get a 4x4 version, then you'll get another 3" or so in height. The leveling kit really puts the front end to a nice height (feel wise). Back seat leg room ... the F150 has plenty. Plus, you're still driving remember ... not riding in the back. The F150 can handle the payload requirements you desire. The F150 is, as you said, cheaper. I prefer "less expensive" as cheaper implies lesser quality ... which it's not.

It also depends on if you want the Powerstroke or if you want the 5.4. If you want a diesel than you would have to get the 250. If you want a big ol' massive truck than go for the 250 or if you want a little sportier than the 150. They will both handle what you want to haul. I personaly like both truck for different reasons.

If you want to stay with gas then yes the 150 would be the best choice.

I traded in my 2001 F150 cab and a half for a new 2006 FX4. The boys, 7 and 10 are getting bigger and I was tired of opening the front door to get to the back. Without a doubt, its a great truck. No comparison to the old one. Roomy as ever and I'm 5'11 and rode in the back as my wife drove. No comfort issues at all, not cramped, it was great.

I myself recenty purchased an '06 F150 XLT Crew Cab 4x4. What a great truck. It definitely has the all the power and room you'll ever need and drives like a dream. I'm 6'4" and feel there is still adequate seating room in the back seat when I have the front seat set to my liking. I also like the way F250 SD's look but in my humble opinion not worth the extra $$ if you're not going to be working the truck real hard.
