i had a question that may seem odd...i have a 1980 ford F-250 that i drove in highschool, its just kind of laying around. the frame has been broken on it a bunch of times and i am sick of watchin my step dad screw it up. however the entire nose of the truck (fenders, hood, grille, ect.) are still in great shape. in fact even better then my daily driver, so here is the question...would it be possible to fit that assembly on a 1994 F-250 turbo diesel? as far as i can tell the body lines match up, the core support mounting brackets are both equally spaced; the only thing i see that needs changed is the cowl panel (behind the hood) and the bumper (and how would i get that to fit b/c the frame horns are different looking?) thanks fellas!
you may have to also swap the inner fenders, if you cant get yours to work. Youll definately need the core support...basically, once youve got everything pulled your donor truck will only have an engine left up front.
That could be cool, if you got a new box and matched all your body panels together people would think you swapped a PSD and late model interior into an early 80s f250...lol
I believe the front shape of the doors on the 87-91 trucks are different than the rear shape of the fenders of the 80-86 trucks. Also the 92-96 are different than both of the others. I believe you would have to either modify the front of the doors to match the 80-86 fenders or vice-versa!!
I have an 87 door on my 86 and it matches up, but you're right that there are some minor changes. You can always get some cardboard or poster board and copy the contor from the one and lay it over the other to be sure...
i am very fond of the 80's body, cuase it was technically my first truck, but the entire body of my 94 (with the exception of the cab and doors) is rotted beyond repair. i wish i could find a good 80-86 bed, but for the time being its getting a flatbed. soon it will get a powerstroke...but thats an entire different story! by the way, does anyone know where there is a Ford Dana 60 for sale, this twin traction beam is just not my thing!!!

junk yards and U-pull it yards are the best. I really wish there was one within and hour from me...but theres not. All the wreckers here are a rip off ($75 for a stock steelie wheel so rusty I wouldnt put it on my truck). Pick your parts/U-pull its are cheap, they are steel recyclers, not auto parts recyclers..they sell parts cheap. Find one, they dont care if its a Dana 35 or 70...to them its just a front diff.
yea i worked for an auto wrecking yard, their stuff isnt always cheap like the mags say they are. idk where there are any yards like that around here. i am in southeastern ohio, probably 10 minutes south of zanesville ohio. i am also looking for a powerstroke engine, but those freaking things are insanley expensive!! damn this truck, sometimes i wonder why i just didnt get something else...
Hi I've put a 93 clip on a 86 fit for me. As for doors vent windows change in 92 but will fit
95 96 has a edge detail along bottom. but will fit. Theres a local beater that one side fender and head lite is 86ish other other is 92 ish it has the 92ish hood no grill. right out of Mad Max.
