Hello, looking for some advice here... Just bought a 2007 F350 and am looking to install Superchips...(I had Superchips in my 2002 F250 7.3 for 5 years and never once had any problems with it, guess thats why I'm going to buy another Superschips...) I know they have the 1706 for the 2006 models... will this also work for the 2007.. They also have the Flashpaq for the 2007... Is this a better tuner than the 1706... would I be better off buying the Flashpaq..Thanks, Ken
I do have a 1805 Flashpaq for my 2005 F-250 6.0l. I did have a dealer reflash which I did take out the superchip program, then tried to reprogram but wouldn't. Logged on superchips and down loaded an updated version for my 6.0 and programmed my truck and away I went. I do like the program but for 2007 I thought your engine is different.
By the way I do have a MBRP exhaust in my garage ready to be installed maybe this weekend. Can't wait.
HP wise they are the same, options wise the Flashpaq is the way to got. It will allow you to do on line updates and lots of other functions etc. If you have any questions on it call us we'll be glad to help you on it.
Not to say anything bad about superchip , I never ran the Flashpaq. I used their outher programer in outher 6.0 trucks. For the first forty or so miles it was a great programer but after that it would start shifting very hard. It was also great off the line but would fall off after about 45 mph. If I were you I would give TS a call about their 5x loader. I have a shop where I live and sell many kinds of programers and modules. I've tried just about every kind of programer out there at one time or anouther. I now have an '05' 6.0 and I have the 5x loader and it's great. Most programers and modules don't do anything with the trany but the5x loader does. The problem I've found with most program upgrades in the 6.0 is the shifting problem, the more power you add the more shift problem you have. You should consider the 5x loader.
