Welcome! Have you got a first name?
Once you hit 25 posts you can add a signature to your posts so you can add your first name to it like I have mine and everyone else has theirs.
Much nicer to be able to address people by their first names.

If you're from CT you join the CT Chapter. If you're from MA you join the MA Chapter.
GTGs are Get Togethers.
For example last Sunday a bunch of us went to the truck museum in Middlebury I believe it was. Then everyone else went back to another chapter member's house for some food. I had to duck out to do some drivers ed crap.
Our May GTG is still in the planning stages currently.
What would you do if I started calling you George instead of Brian? We don't have a George yet.

As for advantages, they are all intangible
Camaraderie being the most substantial of the intangibles
Certainly its more advantageous being a member
than a Chapter Leader. 
The compensation is much more favorable
And so goes the B/S

Long ago we were all part of the New England Chapter
As for being called George, well one of our Moderators is George, and I believe an occasional visitor from Canterbury 'Can Do' is also a George
